RISTA Partners with UNICEF to Help Protect Children Worldwide
2026-07-31
Recently, a shipment of high-standard protective gloves departed from RISTA’s manufacturing facility for UNICEF Supply Division in Denmark. The shipment marks the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership between Shanghai RISTA Safety Products Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhida Group, and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), with RISTA becoming an officially approved supplier of protective gloves.
This is also RISTA’s first successful delivery under an internationally recognized humanitarian procurement program, representing a significant milestone for Chinese-made protective products entering the global premium humanitarian procurement market.

UNICEF operates one of the world’s most rigorous procurement review systems. Its standards cover four critical dimensions: product safety and performance, production compliance, end-to-end quality control, and corporate social responsibility. Protective equipment manufacturers from around the world competed throughout the qualification process.
For many years, RISTA has focused on hand protection solutions. Supported by Zhida Group’s integrated industrial capabilities, the company has continuously invested in product research and development while building a standardized, closed-loop quality management system covering raw-material selection, intelligent manufacturing, and comprehensive finished-product testing.
On the R&D side, RISTA continuously improves protection performance, fit, comfort, and durability, developing application-specific solutions for a wide range of outdoor and industrial environments. On the production side, a full-process traceability system ensures that every batch undergoes multiple inspections before release.

Following several rounds of sample testing, independent third-party testing, comprehensive qualification reviews, and production-system assessments, RISTA stood out from global competitors. Its consistent product performance, reliable large-scale manufacturing capacity, and mature cross-border delivery system enabled the company to meet international entry requirements and secure long-term supplier qualification.

Zhida Group has long pursued two priorities in parallel: lean manufacturing and social responsibility. To strengthen global delivery capabilities, shorten overseas lead times, and serve customers closer to their markets, the Group is accelerating its international manufacturing footprint.
A new intelligent production base in Malaysia features high-standard automated lines for specialized gloves. Together with the Group’s core R&D base in China, it forms a dual manufacturing network that improves global order response, volume delivery, and localized support for humanitarian procurement and international commercial customers.
The partnership with UNICEF is a strong international recognition of RISTA’s R&D capabilities, product quality, and global cross-border delivery performance. It also opens a new path for the company’s international growth. RISTA will continue to advance manufacturing excellence, expand partnerships in humanitarian and international supply programs, and bring high-quality protective products to customers and communities worldwide.
